David MacLaren
President, CEO, and Chairman
Mr. MacLaren has been a pioneer in the digital content industry for over ten years. Over the past eight, he has made significant contributions to the realm of online travel content by continuing to challenge the industry to reach new heights. Mr. MacLaren has won numerous awards and is continually recognized for his entrepreneurial creativity, passion, and success.
Prior to VRX, Mr. MacLaren began his business career in Commercial Banking with the Bank of Nova Scotia where he consulted a wide range of companies. He left the Bank of Nova Scotia in 1998 to take the helm of DNA Media Inc, a world renowned multimedia production company. In late 1999, Mr. MacLaren left DNA to launch his first venture backed company.
In December 1999, David successfully approached Bright Spark Labs, a Toronto Based venture fund, to finance his first official start-up venture, "Real World Images". In early 2000, he founded his second start-up venture, "VRX Studios Inc.", and raised $1.5 million dollars from Cambridge Ventures Ltd., a TSX-V listed company. Later that year, he resigned from Real World Images to devote 100% of his time to VRX Studios and oversee the acquisition of Cambridge Ventures (renamed VRX Worldwide Inc. in 2001). Today, Mr. MacLaren is the President, CEO, and Chairman of VRX Worldwide Inc., the parent company of VRX Studios Inc.
Mr. MacLaren earned an Economics degree at the University of British Columbia and studied International Business at the University of Copenhagen. Outside of VRX, he sits on the Board of Directors of the BC Lion's Society and is an active member of the EO

Jean Lozano
Director, Information Technology
Mr. Lozano is a veteran IT professional with over 15 years development, technical and IT management experience. In addition to seven years as an IT manager, he has held a wide variety of IT roles ranging from software development, systems architecture and executive management.
Before joining VRX Studios, Jean founded and managed Leafnode Systems, an offshore software development and IT outsourcing company. Previously, he worked as an IT Manager responsible for applications development, e-commerce and network operations for a global direct marketing company operating in the U.S., Europe and Asia. In his role at VRX Studios, Jean continues to apply his technical expertise and management experience to leverage technology and drive business applications.
Mr. Lozano holds an MBA and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a specialization on Computer Applications. He is a Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD), a Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) and a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE).
